I'm sorry but this type of bug fix releasing you use is REALLY odd and VERY confusing.

Please consider using 4.1.1 -> 4.1.11 type version numbers so that Admin CP autoupdate can work and more importantly clients are notifiied of important update like above by CP without having to visit the forums.

What does force reinstall do compared to normal update?

I agree. Asking users to reinstall a version that has already gone gold (4.0) is confusing. Someone running 4.0 may be different from another who just recently installed it.

Please adopt some form of bug fix versioning and notify through the admin panel, even if they are untested daily compiles not fit for use. (4.1.1 should have been 4.1.1.1?)

Even a google groups list would be suffice for those who want to be in the know (like what Cloudlinux has been doing)
