Active Hotlink on cPanel

trying to activate the hotlink on cPanel, we find the following error:

Please try again. Apache detected an error in the Rewrite config.

Contacting cpanel, have informed us that the error is caused by a problem with Litespeed. You know how can I fix it?

cPanel tells me to remove Litespeed....

please try from command line:

chmod a+w /usr/local/lsws/logs/ap_cmd_param.log

check/update /home/xxxxxx/public_html/.htaccess. chances are line 12 has syntax error (user updated it).
