can't setup virtual host?

this seemed simple enough however i keep getting told

*path /usr/local/lsws/paulcurley does not exist. Please create manually.

however i have created this for sure. can anyone point me in the correct direction possible?

where do i setup the permissions? through the admin bit? sorry for the noob questions.

chmod 0755 /usr/local/lsws/paulcurley

thanks man, all the permissions were correct but couldn't move directly from the root to that dir, only from lsws dir?

anyway, deleted it and recreated it and all is good ..... i think
