curl returns error

curl -I http://server IP returns following error

HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable
Date: Wed, 04 Mar 2015 21:20:20 GMT
Server: LiteSpeed
Connection: Keep-Alive
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100

Check your error log /usr/local/lsws/logs/ to see what happened.

It may be caused by mod_security or other reason instead of LiteSpeed, for example:

I have checked the logs but nothing logging. There is no mod security in the server

the command curl -svo /dev/null -H "Host: domainname" http://serverIP is also not working ..getting the same error

can you help

Which version of LiteSpeed do you use? Does Apache return the same error?

2.upgrade to 4.2.21 and test again
/usr/local/lsws/admin/misc/lsup.sh -f -v 4.2.21

apache access logs shows same 406 error

Not sure if you fall into any cases listed in the following post or not, but one thing can be sure that it is not web server related problem.
