Haproxy & Litespeed

Greetings,

I am new to both Haproxy and Litespeed (have Site Owner Plus Lite Mage Starter + LSCache license).

Is it true that load balancers are useful ONLY if one is using multiple servers?

Meaning there is no point having a load balancer using ONE server.

Server has 2 sites. One website uses Magento 2.4 with a 2-million record database accessed by thousands of people all over the world. This is why I thought a load balancer is needed.

What should the Haproxy configuration be with LiteSpeed?
Can't afford Litespeed Web ADC at the moment.

Meaning there is no point having a load balancer using ONE server.

Think about the words "load balancer". It balances the load, but if there is only 1 webserver, how can the load be balanced, if there is no other webserver where the load can be balanced? You need at least a second webserver on a second machine to get the advantage of a load balancer, but before you think about a load balancer, check if LiteSpeed Webserver with LiteMage Cache plugin (designed for Magento) can do the job without load balancer. If there is still a need for a load balancer Web ADC should be used. Together they are your dream team!
