Install issue

Hi

I am getting in trouble following the wiki PHP 4/5 with LSAPI Compile/Install How-To since yesterday and I didn't succeed to install. Everything sound fine from step 1 to 4.

When I tip : ./buildconf --force I get :

This is the code error I am able to take and copy past to you here. The command make and make install didn't succeed I am running commands as root of course.

Please assists me, I didn't find any other helping resources and I was working hardly with this since yesterday I installed any dependencies but I don't know what to do now.

Thanks for your replies both. I am training on my Ubuntu 9.10 x64 machine. I can access Litespeed Admin console, type admin username password and login it work but following to next steps whenever I arrive to this step which is install php it fails always, I installed many dependencies contacting many forums still couldn't find a solution to that. I am testing on my machine to make sure that everything is fine before switching to the VPS. By following the tutorial everything sound fine until I arrive here and always fail I couldn't continue as this step is essential.

I traced that error, it can be simplified as following script:

the error is come from the last line:

can you run above test.sh, to see if any problem?
also, check config.log under your php-5.2.12 folder, see if any abnormal.

When I run your script sudo sh test.sh I get :

In the log file I have :

I do this command as root using sudo, I get the seem message shown above.
