I currently have an centos 5.5 64 bit vps running with virtuosso and plesk 9. The vps has 512 RAM
My linux based technical ability extends to a yum install and stopping and starting services. If I want to do anything more complex I have to search for a webpage that gives me the command lines that I need to copy and paste in, step by step.
My site runs an IPB forum based in NZ. The primary audience are those in NZ and access is generally quite good with a complete load within 4 seconds. Latency to international hosts is quite big with a 6 second start render time and a 12 seconds page load complete time on average.
My question is will litespeed increase the speed to the international audience by reducing the latency? This of course includes spiders for search engines such as google.
Secondly how easy is lightspeed to install and configure for my given setup bearing in mind my level of experience? Is there a command line step by step guide and a general config out there?
