lighttpd config file is not reloading, needs restarts

After doing changes in the lighttpd config file, the changes are not reflected in the server after reloading the server using the following command

"service lighttpd reload"

At the same, if I restart the lighttpd it's working fine.

We want the changes the be reflected when doing reload the lighttpd.

Please suggest me a solution.

This is LiteSpeed Web Server(LSWS) forum, not lighttpd.
