Movable Type and FastCGI?

Movable Type's documentation (see here) explains how to set up MT with mod_fastcgi, but being a newbie to FastCGI I'm having a hard time getting it to work with Litespeed. Can someone take a look at the documentation and point me in the right direction for setting up an external FastCGI app to work with MT? For example, I don't know what to put in the "command" part.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same problem.

I've tried adding an .htaccess file inside my cgi-bin directory (where Movable Type is) like this:

AddHandler fastcgi-script .fcgi

This does not work.

Test Script:

#!/usr/bin/perl
# Hello World Script
# Filename: hello.cgi, or hello.fcgi
print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
print "Hello world.";

Test Output: (ex. mydomain.com/cgi-bin/helloworld.fcgi )

lscgid: execve():/path/to/mydomain.com/cgi-bin/helloworld.fcgi.fcgi: No such file or directory

My host said LiteSpeed supports FastCGI, how do I get it to work with Movable Type?

You need to ask your host to manually add a FastCGI application for each of your FCGI application in LiteSpeed web console, then add a script handler for you. like
your hello app is called "hello_fcgi", the script handler suffix is "hello_fcgi".
Then you use directive.

<Files hello.fcgi>
ForceType application/x-httpd-hello_fcgi
</Files>

You need to do the same for each FCGI application.
