Just released new benchmarks done by cPanel PHP guru Tristan Wallace for cPanel Conference 2014: http://www.litespeedtech.com/solutions/benchmarks/wordpress-cpanel
The benchmarks do a good job showing how LSWS and Apache's RAM usage and server load are affected by increases in traffic — LSWS keeps flying along, Apache's resource usage balloons. They could have been better (the two concurrency levels are run on very, very different machines), but they're interesting all the same. There aren't many benchmarks out there looking at HTTP server resource usage. We and Tristan won't have time to do new benchmarks for a while, but hopefully, this is a step towards even better benchmarks in the future.
We're very interested in discussion.
