New cpanel server with EA4

Ive got a newly deployed server that comes with EA4 as the deafult. I installed all php options version of EA4 and then installed litespeed, expecting it would pick up everything needed to run, but that is not the case.

php will not execute on a test site installed. No errors in the error_log.

Please advise on any additional steps required to get litespeed running on a server that is freshly deployed with EA4 installed before litespeed.

I'm experiencing the same issue on a newly deployed cPanel server with EA4. Nothing custom, just a plain cPanel installation and the default EA4 profile deployed (suPHP).
LiteSpeed installs correctly, when I run the plugin I get notified (yellow boxes) about the timezoneDB and php prefix configurations which I fix, and then I click "Switch to LiteSpeed" and it gets stuck loading. Apache goes down but LiteSpeed doesn't start. The error log shows nothing, so I don't know how to investigate further. Only solution is to switch back to Apache.

I was running a "tail -f /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log" when switching to LiteSpeed and I can see Apache shutting down but nothing else gets written to the log after that.
A 'ps aux' shows '/bin/sh /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/lsws/bin/lsws_cmd.sh /usr/local/lsws SWITCH_TO_LSWS' running but it doesn't finish. By the time I hit the "Switch to Apache" button again (after waiting about 1 minute) the process is still running, and kills shortly after I have switched back to Apache.

Unfortunately because LiteSpeed doesn't start, I can't get into the Web Console in order to change the logging mode to debug. Is there any other way to do this?

Hmm I tried it again just now and it looks like it's a trial license issue.

Even though in the beginning it says "Your License key will expire in 14 days" after a while it says "Your trial period has terminated".
I'll try with a Ultra VPS license and will report back in a few minutes.

Yeap false alarm - using a Ultra VPS license I was able to start LiteSpeed just fine.
I thought it was the first time I enabled a LiteSpeed trial on this VPS, but it's possible that I had done it a couple of months ago again - which is why the trial was terminated.
