With a typical mongrel setup in the past we used Monit to watch the ruby mongrel processes for certain conditions and automatically restart the mongrel instance if one of the conditions were met.

Is there something similar that can be done with Litespeed web server serving a rails application. What is available to watch the process spawn off from the web server, ie the rails runners?

You probably do not need to monitor it at all with LiteSpeed.
