Hey there guys, just want to ask around and see if I install LiteSpeed on my server, what are the chances that my website will not work after i install it. also, i have a quad core CPU, which License should i get?

Hi @Tech Things,

0.0001%? 0.1%? It's hard to estimate exactly your chances of a site not working, but, if installed correctly, the vast majority of new users have no issues with their sites. And using our WHM Plugin makes it really easy to install LSWS correctly: http://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php?id=litespeed_wiki:cpanel:auto-installer

When you install LSWS, install it with a port offset (see the wiki above). This will allow you to run Apache and LSWS simultaneously in the beginning. LSWS will be running on a separate port and you can check your site on that port before switching out Apache for LSWS. (And you can always switch back to Apache with a single click.)

is there an uninstall option in case it all goes bat s**t crazy?

There is. But, more importantly, you can switch back to Apache with one click (to get everything back up and running before you uninstall).

does this block FTP at all? because i count on a custom FTP program to upload files to my website and now all of a sudden it gets a connection refused socket 10061

lsws don't have any direct relation to FTP.
you can switch back to apache to see if the FTP issue still exists.
