How are publicly cached objects counted?
Public cache objects are stored based on both URL and cache vary. If your site uses a layered navigation menu for example, each combination of selections from the layered menu will be its own publicly cached object. If your site uses any cache varies (multiple currencies, a separate mobile view, or multiple user groups), the number of publicly cached objects in your store will increase in relation to that. Having two currencies, for example, would double the number of publicly cached objects in your store, having three would triple it.
When the per-installation/user publicly cached object limit for LiteMage Starter and LiteMage Standard packages is reached, LiteMage will not publicly cache any further objects for that installation/user, leaving that installation/user only partially cached. This does not affect other shared hosting users who have not yet reached this limit.
We will be adding the ability to view your current number of publicly cached objects from the LiteMage Admin Panel in an upcoming update.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes! We offer a free 15-day trial of a Web Host Professional or Web ADC Small equivalent license. You can sign up for the trial: LSWS Enterprise Trial License or Web ADC Trial License.
-
How do I cancel my license?
A leased license, or the updates for an owned license, can be cancelled at anytime preventing a renewal invoice from being generated. We do not offer credit/refunds for cancelling.
-
Can I upgrade/downgrade licenses?
Yes, but there are some guidelines.
Leased:- You can upgrade or downgrade any leased license to any other Web Host or Site Owner leased license at any time.
- You can upgrade a Free Starter license, but you cannot downgrade to one.
- You cannot upgrade a leased license to an owned license. If you wish to switch to an owned license, you must wait until the end of the leased license billing cycle, and order a new owned license.
Owned:- You can upgrade an owned license but it will not extend the update expiration date. It will only give you a higher license.
- You must purchase the yearly addon, if you wish to extend the update expiration date.
- You cannot downgrade any owned licenses.
Invoicing:- Downgrades are effective immediately, and a prorated credit for the difference in price between the two licenses for the remainder of the current billing cycle will be posted to your account.
- Upgrades will result in a new invoice with a prorated charge for the difference in price between the two licenses for the remainder of the current billing cycle. The upgrade is effective upon receipt of payment.
- The next billing cycle's invoice will reflect your new full monthly/yearly price.
If you have any special needs not covered by the above, please contact our license department via ticket.
-
How am I billed?
You are billed monthly or annually for each license (unless you purchase an owned license, then you only pay one sum). You can choose to fund your account via PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer. Invoices are due on the 1st day of each month to renew the license.
-
How do I choose between monthly and annual billing?
On the pay screen choose your license, and click order now. The next page will have the option “Choose Billing Cycle.” There you pick either monthly or annual billing.
-
When do you charge my credit card?
If you have automatic credit card payment enabled, then your card will be auto charged on the invoice due date. The time zone this is controlled by is UTC-5 (or EST).
-
Can I pay in advance?
You can pay as soon as your invoice is created. If you would like to pay for a longer time period all at once, you can add funds to your credit balance and they will be automatically added to your invoice when it is due.
-
Can I be billed using my local currency?
Unfortunately, we only bill in, and issue invoices in, USD. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
-
Can I use one license for multiple servers?
No, each server requires its own license.
-
What is your prorated billing structure?
Prorated billing means that when you purchase a license mid-month, you will only be charged for the remaining days in that month. The exception to this is when you buy a license toward the very end of the month. In that case, you will be charged for the remaining days in that month and the entire next month. For annual licenses, the year begins on the first day of the upcoming month, so prorated billing is based around that month. Please read your invoice line item for the exact date range you are being billed for.
-
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds. If, however, you place a new order and our support team is not able to assist you in getting it set up and running properly, then we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee.
