503 Service Unavailable

#1
Hello Guys ,

Since 2 days ago , my website is showing 503 error randomly . I don't have access to the server . I have contacted my hosting provider but so far they haven't been able to find the reason this is happening . The issue happens when I submit a form or when I submit changes in whmcs or wordpress .

The web hosting has already moved my server to another server but the issue is still here . They have also increased PHP and Cloudlinux limits but no luck . I haven't recently updated anything like plugins . Errors just randomly started happening since 2 days ago .

Does the hosting have any way to figure out what is causing these 503 errors ? If yes , which log file should they check and where is it located?

Thanks .

Thank you for your answer . The hosting company switched to Apache for 5 minutes and 503 errors were gone . I wasn't able to reproduce it . They appeared again after they switched back to Litespeed though .

In the link you sent to me , it's mentioned that if the issue is solved by switching to Apache , we should submit a ticket with Litespeed support . I asked my hosting company to do so but I was told they will only do that if they can't fix the issue themselves .

Although I think they will eventually fix it , their support is very slow and I'm afraid it might take a day or two . Is there anything you can tell me to share with them that would help them find the problem faster ? How do the Litespeed team troubleshoot 503 errors if they are caused by Litespeed itself and don't exist with Apache ?

Kind Regards ,

As you can read in the documentation on 503, 503 errors are PHP related or are caused by PHP malfunctions. If there was an error in LiteSpeed, it would not trigger a 503 error. You must therefore check the relevant error log files to find out the cause. Your host provider should know what to do.
