how to activate litespeed

I bought an unmanaged linux vps from hosting.com, and bought litespeed site owner license from it. Hosting first installed a clean Almalinux 9 system and then I installed DirectAdmin panel, and installed litespeed trial version using DA Build command according to DA's tutorial.

Hosting told me to activate the license using below command: sudo /usr/local/lsws/bin/lshttpd -r
It got this: [ERROR] serial.no is missing!

How to solve this?

Usually you specify the serial when installing LSWS: https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lsws/installation/#new-installations

bash <( curl https://get.litespeed.sh ) YOUR_SERIAL_NO

If you already have it installed, enter the serial for your license in serial.no:

echo "YOUR_SERIAL_NO" > /usr/local/lsws/conf/serial.no
