Just a quick note to say that we also had the same problem on some websites. Switching to https solved the problem.

Other topics I've found seem to be related to http/2 or the HTTP Pipelining part of it. Is HTTP/2 enabled for non HTTPS connctions in your litespeed config ?

It is a bug with safari browser on iOS8/9, the solution is to turn off keepalive for that site. you can add

SetEnv nokeepalive 1

to the .htaccess .
